Is there a way to control this in Filezilla? (I've already tried limiting the speed to 20k/sec with no success).Īny other clues would be awesome! I'm a novice when it comes to FTP and have only ever used Filezilla-like interfaces. This makes me wonder if Filezilla is sending packet sizes that are "too big" for the older machine controller. When pinging fails is when I try to increase the byte size of the ping too large. The thing is I can ping like crazy off the machine's IP address through our network, and I've connected my PC to the Ethernet cable at the machine end to test (successfully) the network connection on that end. When I DO get a successful connection and can see the machine's directory, transferring files cannot occur, and Filezilla never gets past "Connecting" (even after I've already established a connection). The trick is that Filezilla CAN see the log in directory. The oldest model, however, is giving me grief. (These machines have hard drives, called "dataservers") We have four machines, and the newer ones I have successfully set up so that I can transfer files between them and several PCs using Filezilla Client. How To Use FileZilla to Connect by FTP 1) Open FileZilla and enter the FTP login details in the fields located at the top of the application. Then open the file you’ve downloaded to install FileZilla. I'm have trouble connecting with an older CNC mill at work and am looking for clues. Click this button to download the application.
